Actions that should be taken:
- File complaints to the Department of Buildings complaint line (tel. #311)
- Encourage complaints and see how complaints are followed through
- Make architects more responsible for their actions (with help of lawyers)
- Better training by Department of Buildings.
Conclusion
Pass a law adopting the International Building Code with amendments and be
vigilant that there are no rollbacks of access requirements.
